GUIDE
The game's a bit complex to figure out on your own in the beginning, so refer to this guide for information on everything in the game currently.
The overworld, where you spawn, is procedurally generated.
Before the longer version, first, a
TLDR:
- eat food or transfer between worlds to regenerate hunger, stamina, and health.
- in the inventory, you have, from left to right, storage, crafting, (hover over anything past here to see what it is, no need to remember this) buildings, weapons, armours
- more foraging points = more loot
- three tiers of extractors are the only way to get minerals, craft them and then place to get them to work. feed them fuel like coal or logs to speed them up.
- You'll be transferred to the soulyard to gather souls at midnight. clear the waves of enemies that you see to be transferred back to the overworld. Each wave gets progressively more difficult.
- take a glance at the crafting recipes, and refer back if needed. IT MATTERS WHERE YOU PLACE ITEMS to craft from them
- stones are gathered everywhere; take them.
Game Loop
The main game loop revolves around collecting resources, in the main world, then being teleported by the Reaper to the soulyard to harvest souls from entities too stubborn to give them up.
How do you do this? By beating them up.
In the main world, you gather resources, such as food, wood, iron, coal, gold, diamonds, etc. and craft weapons, better food, armour, etc. in order to ready for your fight with the waves of enemies that you will encounter. At midnight, you will be teleported to the soulyard in order to complete your deal with the Reaper.
Systems
Multiple things may be happening a the same time, so you might be confused. Check this out for an explanation.
- Health: Health is pretty simple. You run out of it, and you die. The only way to get it back is to transfer between the soulyard and overworld or eat food.
- Stamina: Stamina is reduced everytime you axe or sword something. If you run out of it, you cannot move. This can be regenerated by just standing still, consuming food, or transfer between worlds.
- Hunger: Hunger is reduced every 3 seconds. Once its depleted, you start taking damage. The only ways to regenerate it are to transfer between worlds(seeing a pattern?) and to eat food.
- Foraging points: The more foraging points you have, the better things you get from chopping trees. From the initial 1 wood, you can go to getting waayy to many logs, wheat, carrots, and potatoes per tree. Each tree chop gives you one(1) foraging point, but it adds up really quickly.
- Inventory: Pressing space opens up the inventory. This is where you do literally everything related to you character. Storage, crafting, building, weapons, armour, etc.
- The first 4x4 grid is the actual storage area.
- The next 3x3 grid above a button above a blank(or non blank panel if your crafting recipe is valid) is the crafting area. Drop materials here to craft them(Crafting recipes are described later)
- The next one houses buildings, anything which you want to build. This includes logs, and all tiers of the mineral extractors. Once placed, you will preview how the item will look upon placing. Press z to place it.
- The red one is for weapons, which increase your strength to fight enemies. There are 3(well, there were supposed to be four but then I forgot to add the crafting recipe of the fourth one) swords, each of iron, gold and diamond, and each progressively better than the previous one.
- Finally is the armour. Instead of having four different armour pieces, you only have one. There are 3 armours, iron, gold, and diamond.
- Mineral extractors: Mineral extractors are the only way to get minerals, which are, coal, iron, gold, and diamond. They have three tiers, each one taking less time to extract minerals and extracting more valuable ones. To use them, craft them, and then place them wherever you would like. The ghost of your extractor stays around whenever you teleport back to the overworld. The first tier produces coal and iron, the next, coal, iron, and gold, and the final one, coal, iron, gold, diamonds. Feed them coal or logs(in their 'Drop!' area) to fast forward them.
- Soulyard: At midnight, you will be summoned to the soulyard by the grim reaper to harvest stubborn souls. There are three types of enemies that my spawn, skeletons, goblins, and zombies. Kill all which are present to return to the overworld. Attack by right clicking.
- Enemies: Enemies will attack you once in range, and chase you otherwise. After attacking you, they will be dazed for a short period of time. Take advantage of this!

I figured out how to chop things, but what are the control for picking stuff up?
Oh wait I'm really sorry about that! I completely forgot to write the guide and controls! I'll get to it right now.
